Dexion employees complete Green Belt 6 Sigma training
Staff from Dexion Romania have successfully completed their training in 6 Sigma methodologies – earning Green Belt certification.
The staff completed the rigorous 5-day course, which included analysis and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work to a structured, data-driven approach towards process improvement.
The attendees were from a cross-functional group spanning Finance, SSCR, Production, Logistics, Sales, and Administration – were trained in identifying and removing causes of defects, and minimizing variability in manufacturing and business processes.
The team of 12 newly-rewarded green belts will join 12 yellow belts already certified for Dexion Romania.
General Manager for Dexion Storage Solutions, Brian Howson says that the training benefits both clients and the workforce.
“As a company, we are employing 6 Sigma as a structured improvement methodology, to help improve customer experience, lower costs, and develop greater leaders. Having a group of people skilled in the employment of this technique will help us achieve sustained quality and process improvement.”
Dexion plans to continue training more of its staff to 6 Sigma yellow and green belt level in 2017, allowing a broad group of skilled problem-solvers to flourish within the company.
