Founded in 2004 as Hi-Lo and later rebranded as Dexion, the Râșnov facility has grown into a strategic hub for engineering, production, and innovation within the Gonvarri network. Over the past two decades, the site has undergone continuous investment and transformation, becoming a centre of excellence for product development, structural testing, and sustainable manufacturing.
The celebration was attended by top leadership from Gonvarri Material Handling, including CEO Sergio Rodriguez Cuesta and COO Gerhard Schwager. In addition, members of the Executive Management Team of Gonvarri Material Handling were present, underscoring the strategic importance of the Râșnov site within the group’s global operations.
Also in attendance were representatives from the Spanish Embassy in Bucharest, the Prefecture and County Council of Brașov, and mayors from Râșnov, Zărnești, Bran, and Moeciu. The event highlighted Dexion’s strong ties with the local community and its commitment to regional development.
Academic partners from Transylvania University and local schools were recognised for their collaboration in education and workforce development. Dexion’s support for dual vocational training and student internships has played a key role in shaping the next generation of engineers and technicians.
The event also celebrated Dexion’s social impact initiatives, including partnerships with NGOs such as Eltera, Bucuria Darului, and BookLand, as well as its contributions to local sports and environmental sustainability through tree planting campaigns and support for the Transilvania Run.
